A popular shopping mall at the central business district area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, was razed on Friday afternoon, according to Premium Times.
Witnesses said the entire shopping area was razed as customers and staff were seen fleeing the scene. A staff of the mall who spoke to a reporter said at the moment no one could tell the cause of the fire.
“The entire shopping hall was destroyed by the fire,” he said.
It was gathered that security personnel at the gate stopped onlookers and journalists from gaining access into the premises.
Security staff of the mall said no life was lost as firefighters controlled the situation on time.
