Hon, George Ali is a former Member of the Benue State House of Assembly from 2007 – 2011 representing Otukpo Local Government Constituency. Hon Ali who is currently contesting for a council chairman in Otukpo local government area under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Exclusively told NAIJAVOICE during an interview in his office at ZAGINAS Concept Limited Makurdi Benue State, his three (3) points agenda. Hon. Ali who is also a business man, an entrepreneur an a consultant reviewed to NAIJAVOICE that Politics is not a personal profit, but the profit of the masses he stated, stating further that salary been paid by any executive head is not an achievement, because it is a duty of any executive head to do so.
Speaking on the three point agenda, Hon.Ali begin with Industrialization, I mean cottage Industries, stating that with this industries investors will flow in the city of Otukpo. The Industries will served as a recreational homes where youths will be engaged in acquiring one skill job or the other and will also provides job opportunities for the unemployed especially the youths within the environs as a result cultism and other social vices will be reduce to its minimum in the local government because the youths will be gainfully engaged. Hon. Ali mention Youths Empowerment as his second agenda promising to empower the youths with whatsoever talents they exhibit, particularly the footwear making in Otukpo which has become the central talents by the youths in the local government stating that hands will be exchange internationally to promote and sell the products better than it were. In the aspect of sports, entertainment and education Hon. Ali vow in ensuring that the out mention will not be left behind throughout his administration if God willing he become the next council chairman of the local government. Finally, Hon. George Ali Exclusively told NAIJAVOICE that his third agenda will be Agriculture, making a reference to the Otukpo Rice Mill which has been abandoned in the past without any attention to it. Hon. Ali vow to restore the Otukpo Rice Mill back to its standard like the Ofada Rice and the Ebonyi Rice respectively if elected.
To achieve this he told our correspondent that the necessary machines will be made available for easy running of the Mill. In conclusion, he urge all the electorates to come out in mass and cast their votes as against his counterpart for the good of Otukpo when the time comes.
