They don’t want you to have a number one album. But, guess what?
Today, DJ Khaled has officially secured his second number one album after his latest Grateful debuts at the top of the Billboard H0t 200 charts.
According to Nielsen Music, the album, released on June 23, pushed 149,000 equivalent album sales, with 50,000 of those being traditional album sales by the end of the week of June 29th.
The distinction also marks Khaled’s seventh top-10 charting full length project. The streak began with 2008’s We The Best, which topped of at number eight and spans to last year’s Major Key, Khaled’s first number one honor.
Grateful is also responsible for the a couple of Billboard H0t 100 top five-charting tracks, “I’m the One,” featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne, and “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.
